Registered Nurse Wound Care/Ostomy Community Health Full Time Days SLB New

POSITION SUMMARY

Under minimal supervision, facilitates skin and wound care activities at the facility level. Coordinates patient care with clinical nursing and hospital leadership. Has the authority, responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating wound, ostomy, and continence care throughout the hospital. Functions as a consultant and provides direct patient care and education to selected patients. Provides for staff development in areas of expertise. Responsible for product recommendations in areas of expertise. Maintains records and statistics reflecting role performance; participates in hospital wide committees and projects as indicated. Participates in call schedule to ensure appropriate WON coverage for the five BHS inpatient facilities, as needed. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
