Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel Assignment)

Job Overview

Methodist Hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in the Cath Lab unit. The RN will assist in diagnostic cardiac catheterization, PCI, STEMI, structural heart procedures, and congenital heart interventions, ensuring high-quality cardiac care.

Key Details

• Start Date: July 7, 2025
• Shift: 8-hour mixed shifts (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM / 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, where needed)
• Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 36
• On-Call Requirements: 10 days/month, including 1 full weekend per month
• Floating: Required per Methodist Floating Policy
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of Cath Lab nursing experience required
• Certifications: BLS & ACLS required; RCIS/ARRT required for Cath Techs
• Charting System: Meditech
• License Requirement: Active TX RN License required (Temp licenses not accepted)

• Diagnostic Cath, PCI, Structural Heart, TAVR, TMVR
• Pediatric (Congenital Heart) Procedures
  
  

Unit Details

• Scrub Policy: Scrubs provided by department
• Staffing: 24-hour MD coverage, Unit Secretary support
• Equipment: Jet-based HFV, NAVA ventilators
• Dress Code & Facility Policies:
• Clean and professional appearance required
• No extreme hairstyles or colors
• Body art must be covered whenever possible
• Visible piercings other than ears prohibited
